Roslyn Tanner Evans Great list of ideas. I recently was involved in my 1st collaboration/partnership that introduced me to a new community. We created a successful fundraiser on-line auction that is becoming an ongoing event to support needy artists. Mike Kawula That’s a great idea Roslyn and couldn’t agree with you more….collaboration with other businesses works!!!!!! Beth Niebuhr I don’t do much local marketing but I do attend networking events and meet new possible ideal clients there. Of your list, my favorite is knowing the Lifetime Customer Value. Great list, Mike! Mike Kawula Thanks Beth and agree. As I mentioned to Heather you can’t market at all without knowing your LTV. Hope you’re doing great ~ Mike Jackie Harder Love the idea of creating an event. I’ve been thinking about doing a women’s expo for years, ever since I joined the chambe of commerce back in 2005. Maybe it’s time to get off the stick! Mike Munter Hi Jackie, Before getting into SEO, I worked in minor league baseball and aside from the games, we put on a lot of other events using our stadium real estate to make money. If you need any help getting started on your Woman’s Expo, I’d be happy to help you free of charge. Best of luck! Mike Mike Kawula I’d definitely consider that Jackie or some other Women’s groups in your area of Florida. I have somewhere here in Tampa that bounces between the different chambers doing events monthly and has built themselves a nice book of business that way. Chambers are always looking for value add to their members provided it’s not sales pitches (which you aren’t). Good Luck 🙂 Heather DelRosario Great info! So many great ideas. I love the tip of understanding the LVC. I think that many small businesses overlook this. Thanks! Mike Kawula Thanks Heather and I agree. It’s really hard to spend money on any form of advertising/marketing for your business if you don’t know your LVC. Without that knowledge you’re either underspending or overspending and both hurt your business. Thanks for visiting ~ Mike Klementine These are some great ideas. I especially enjoyed James Blews’ ideas. It was wonderful to find out that my website is mobile-friendly. Mike Kawula I agree James tip was spot on. So important as it will really unfortunately hurt many that aren’t mobile friendly. I wrote about that tip on a summary of this blog post on LinkedIn ( https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/19-creative-marketing-ideas-youll-want-implement-today-michael-kawula?trk=prof-post ) David J. Bradley Love seeing what everyone else is suggesting here. Many great ideas! Mike Kawula Thanks David and thanks again for your input. Heard from over 50 entrepreneurs and narrowed it down to these marketing ideas. Lorii Abela A very comprehensive guide intended for the purpose. Beth Kovinsky Blacker Awesome information as usual Mike! I am actually getting ready to create a new marketing plan for my husband’s mortgage company and will be suggesting a lot of these ideas, some that I’ve done in other businesses. On a slightly separate note, I love the mobile friendly analyzer…what a great tool! Mike Kawula Thanks Beth and yes love that tool also. Hope to see you tonight in Tampa at TBBO 🙂 Lori Hardegree Wow! What a great compilation of ideas! I love the idea of creating a local guide. We used that strategy as travel agents at bridal shows…give a directory of top rated wedding vendors in the area (who also happen to be strategic partners!). Worked very well for us. Bookmarking this for reference later! Mike Kawula Don’t know if you ever read YouTility by Jay Baer (awesome book) but Jay talks about a Taxi driver in Canada that had a guide of all the best places to eat, bars, hotspots and more. Obviously his business did very well. Love Local Guides 🙂 Thanks for bookmarking and hope you’re doing AWESOME Lori!!!!!! David Wrightt Thanks for the awesome tips! Data on-boarding seems like it might be a good fit for us as our ad budgets are getting exhausted very quickly. . . any way you could provide a little more information on how this is done? Mike Kawula This might be a good article to give you an overview from AdAge: http://adage.com/article/glossary-data-defined/data-boarding/293651/ Do you have a pixel on your website to show targeted ads to those who have visited your website? You can also upload your email list to run targeted ads maybe for a referral program. I believe looking at your profile you might have a gym? If so take your old email addresses of terminated clients and do a win-back campaign just to them with an incredible offer. Data / analytics can make advertising much more effective when analyzed often. Hope that helps. David Wrightt Awesome Mike! Thanks for the info. I do have a gym and have a large amount of customer churn. I think offering only those who left a great deal is a great idea. . . and now I have a way to do it. You’ve got a new reader for life! Mike Kawula Thanks David. I know Gym’s have a high churn rate in general and this would work great I’m sure for you during Dec and closing in on the “summer” months (bathing suit weather). I’ll pole some people and put together a post on Creative ways to increase Gym Memberships. Check out http://kimgarst.com/blog/ and http://www.postplanner.com/blog/ they always have creative ideas for Facebook marketing which I truly think works great for Gym owners. Have an awesome Week! Mike Holly Jean Your keep growing bigger and bigger, Mike! Happy to see your succcess. This was a wealth of great tips and ideas for small biz owners. I like how you chose to focus on what’s “LOCAL” because so many of us are in that boat! I agree with Elene of Interspace on the pros of marketing and connecting via LinkedIn. Particularly since LinkedIn is a professional platform… it’s obvious that professionals will be on it. For me in commercial real estate, I want to connect and be a resource to potential clients looking for a new office. I also think the tip on mobile optimization is unique– it’s true that we must be cognizant that our marketing efforts accommodate the devices people are using to view our pages. Mike Kawula Thanks Holly and I love LinkedIn also. Have you been using their publishing platform also? I just started and am watching my analytics to see the ROI. Cathy Jennings Loving this compilation of creative marketing ideas, Mike! I’ve bookmarked and shared. Mike Kawula You’re awesome Thanks Cathy 🙂 Hope you’re doing great!!!! Stacey McCoy This is great< I already see several action items I can implement today, Thanks! Mike Kawula That’s awesome Stacey 🙂 Thanks for visiting. Stacey Myers What a great compilation of offline marketing strategies. I only market online but can definitely see the benefits of doing some offline marketing. Mike Kawula Thanks Stacey and though I’m an online marketing business, I also believe offline marketing is key. It’s been a large driving force for each of my current and previous businesses. Thanks for stopping by. Mike Kristen Wilson Wow Mike… an extensive list of great marketing ideas.
